We can't wait to celebrate our wedding with everyone! We will be staying at the Royalton Punta Cana October 17th through October 24, 2022. When booking your trip feel free to come as early or stay as late as you would like! Below we put together some helpful tips from our recent stay at the Royalton.
- Diamond Club- We recommend upgrading your room to Diamond Club as there are many additional perks and the upgrade is worth it! Below are a few of the benefits of Diamond Club.
- Butler service- serves more as a concierge. Your butler will assist you with dining reservations, spa services, booking excursions, and will assist with any other questions you may have.
- 24/7 room service
- Top shelf liquor
- Access to Diamond Club Beach, Diamond Club bar, and Diamond Club lounge
- All Diamond Club guests receive 1 hour of hydrotherapy per day. This can also be booked through your butler. Hydrotherapy is accessed through the spa to the hot/cold tubs, therapy pool, steam room, and sauna (steam room and sauna were still closed in February due to COVID).
- Download Whatsapp for your phone. This is used for communication with your butler, and any other services that you would access.
- The dress codes for the restaurants in the evening state that men should be wearing a collared shirt and closed toe shoes. This is not strict. We would describe the dress code in the evening as more casual. Women- sundresses and sandals. Men- khaki shorts and a shirt. Many men were in flip flops. These are just suggestions based on what we observed. It is not super formal, and we want you to be comfortable.
- Book transportation to and from the resort prior to arrival. Uber and Lyft will not be able to get you into the resort and Taxis at the airport can be very expensive. Jason and Lisa plan to use the transportation service that you can book through this webpage.
- There will be people at the airport dressed in tan shirts that look like official airport employees. They want to carry/roll your bags for a tip from you. Try not to let them take your bags.
- The U.S. dollar is accepted everywhere on the resort. You will want to bring small bills for tipping. While it is not required many will tip bartenders, servers, bell boys, and we tipped our butler at the end of our stay.
- If COVID tests are still required to return to the U.S. in October you can obtain them through the resort. At the time we visited a rapid test was $35 per person.
We hope that this helps with any questions that you may have! Please don't hesitate to reach out to Destify, the resort, or either Jason or Lisa if you have any other questions.
